Description

Learning to read is a fundamental step in mastering any language. The Arabic language, with its unique alphabet and specific rules, may seem complex for a non-Arabic speaker. It is with this in mind that the book J’apprends à lire was designed by Al-Fissah School, to provide beginners with a structured and progressive guide toward fluent reading of Arabic.

This book is intended for individuals with no prior knowledge of the Arabic language. It has been designed to guide them step by step in acquiring the basics of reading. Our main goal is to familiarize the learner with the Arabic letters, their sounds, and their various forms. By developing a clear and interactive methodology, we aim to provide an enriching and effective learning experience.

We have integrated simple and accessible lessons, illustrated with images and colors, to make learning enjoyable and engaging. Whether for children or adults, this book is designed to stimulate curiosity and facilitate the memorization of letters and sounds.

📚 Book Structure

  • The lessons are divided into five parts, allowing for a logical and coherent progression:
  • 1️⃣ The Vowels / Harakat: Introduction to the three short vowels (Fatha, Damma, Kasra) to understand their impact on letter pronunciation.
  • 2️⃣ The Extensions: Study of the extension letters (Alif, Waw, Ya), essential for elongating vowel sounds.
  • 3️⃣ The Soukoun: Learning about the soukoun, which marks the absence of a vowel and alters the pronunciation of letters.
  • 4️⃣ The Tanwin: Introduction to the tanwin, which adds nasalization at the end of a word and is commonly used in written Arabic.
  • 5️⃣ The Chadda: Study of the chadda, which doubles a consonant and plays a key role in the correct pronunciation of words.

Each section is accompanied by practical exercises to consolidate the knowledge acquired and assess the learner’s progress.
